The tools

Who are these tools for?

Discretionary futures traders who want to read the market faster, not follow someone else’s calls. That includes traders on funded and prop accounts, where the rules are tight and a clean read matters more than a big idea.

If you are looking for signals, a course or a room, this is not that — see what we don’t do.

Is this a course, a signal service or a room?

None of the three. No entry or exit calls, no probability percentages, no chat room, and nothing that promises easy money. What you get is software that runs on your own charts, and the workflow around it.

How you trade stays yours.

What do the tools actually read?

Three layers, kept separate on purpose:

Volume profile — where price has been accepted or rejected across a session.
Delta by price — buying and selling pressure at each individual level.
Order flow execution — the live exchange between aggression and passivity.

These are how we read the market and what every tool is built on.

What do these tools actually do?

They organise information that is already on your screen. Each one takes a particular kind of it — session structure, order flow, depth, delta, auction context — keeps it correct as conditions change, and shows what is relevant to where price is now rather than everything at once. What each tool reads is on its own page.

Answering where am I? by reconstruction costs seconds and attention. Answering it by glance costs neither. That is the whole of the product.

Will they tell me when to buy or sell?

No, and that is deliberate. There are no entry or exit signals, no probability or confidence percentages, no hidden calculations, and no auto-trading.

We wrote a whole page on why: what we don’t do.

Do the tools repaint?

No. Nothing that has been drawn is moved afterwards to fit what price did. Whatever a tool computes, it computes by rule and the same way every session.

What can change is anything that depends on data still arriving: a session figure is provisional until that session has the data to fix it. That is a property of the information, not of the drawing — but it means a figure read mid-session and the same figure read afterwards will not always match.

It matters most for tools that read live order flow. Market depth, tape and delta are not kept in historical bars the way price is, so a tool that reads them cannot reproduce later exactly what it showed live — not because it repaints, but because the data is no longer there. Each tool’s page says what it reads.

Which timeframes can I use them on?

Any of them. Like any NinjaScript indicator, they run on whatever chart you apply them to. There is no minimum or maximum, and nothing stops you using one on a 1-minute chart.

That is a separate question from what a tool reads. Where a tool maintains higher-timeframe references, which ones it tracks is yours to configure — so the chart you are on and the references it holds are two different things, and you set the second.

Where a tool needs particular calibration for a particular use, its documentation says so.

Do they work with volume bars?

It depends on the tool, and each tool says which.

A volume bar closes on contracts traded rather than on the clock. That suits some of what we build and gets in the way of the rest: anything that reasons about when — a session boundary, a level that has to be right at a particular hour — behaves differently when the bars themselves ignore time.

Where it matters, the tool’s page on tools and its documentation state it directly, rather than leaving you to find out on a live chart.

Which instruments do they work on?

They will run on any instrument NinjaTrader 8 can chart. They are built and tested for futures, and futures are the only market we support.

That is a recommendation rather than a lock, but it is not a formality either. The session model assumes a near‑24‑hour market with a real overnight session, and the defaults are shaped around one. On an instrument that trades only a few hours a day, some levels stay empty — by construction, not because anything has broken. And the volume‑based readings need genuine volume behind them; on a thin instrument the profile is noise that looks like information.

So it will load, and you may still find it useful. What we will not do is tell you it works there when we have not tested it.

Platform and requirements

Which platform do I need?

NinjaTrader 8, and only that. These are NinjaScript add-ons and they do not run anywhere else — not on NinjaTrader 7, not on TradingView, MetaTrader, Sierra Chart or any other platform. There are no plans to port them.

Do I need a paid NinjaTrader licence?

Not for our side of it. These are NinjaScript add-ons and they load on any NinjaTrader 8 installation, the free one included.

What your NinjaTrader licence lets you do — charting, simulation, live order routing — is your arrangement with NinjaTrader and theirs to change. It does not change what our tools show on the chart.

Which NinjaTrader version and data feed do I need?

Any data feed NinjaTrader 8 supports with real-time data. The tools read what the platform hands them.

Feed quality does matter, because a reading is only as good as the ticks behind it. Which provider you go with is worth researching before you commit — coverage, tick granularity and cost differ. We don’t recommend one and we have no arrangement with any of them, so that choice stays yours.

The tools are tested on NinjaTrader 8.1.8.2, and across NinjaTrader’s desktop updates we have not seen them behave differently. We do not publish a minimum build number, because we have not tested against old builds and will not assert a floor we have not verified. If an update to NinjaTrader ever does break something, that is ours to fix.

How hard is installation?

About five minutes, and it is the standard NinjaTrader import flow: import a .zip archive, restart the platform, add the tool to a chart.

The steps are written out on Setup, including what to do when the tool does not appear in the indicator list — almost always a missed restart.

Will it slow my charts down?

It should not, and performance under live load is something we treat as a correctness requirement rather than a nice-to-have. A tool that stutters during the one minute that matters has failed at its job regardless of what it draws.

If you see the platform lag with our tool on the chart, that is a bug — tell us and include your NinjaTrader version and the instrument.

Getting access

How much does it cost?

Pricing is not published yet. When it is, it will be stated plainly on the site rather than held behind a form.

How do I buy it?

When the store opens, the tool is delivered as a direct download: you receive an email with a personal download link. Setup describes what arrives and how long the link lasts.

The store is not open yet, so there is nothing to buy today. This answer will point at it the moment there is.

Is there a trial?

No.

What you can look at before deciding is on the tools page: what each one shows and the problem it solves. If something there is not clear enough to judge, ask — that is a fair question and we would rather answer it than have you buy blind.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, for 14 days, and you do not have to give a reason.

As a consumer you have 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase. For digital downloads the law lets a seller ask you to give that up in exchange for getting the file immediately. We do not ask you to. You get the download straight away and you keep the 14 days — including after you have installed it and used it.

Beyond that we do not run a general refund policy. There is no trial and no satisfaction guarantee — and “it did not make me money” is not a fault, because the tools do not promise results. What is a fault is software that does not do what we described, and that we put right or refund.

Note that the seller of record is Paddle, and Paddle runs its own refund policy on top of all this: it can grant a refund at its discretion, and that call is theirs rather than ours. If a purchase is refunded, the licence ends with it.

The detail is in the Terms of Sale.

What does one licence cover?

One licence is issued to one customer, for their own trading, and it is perpetual — no renewal, no expiry.

It is not transferable to another person and it is not for sharing. Activation details are provided at purchase.

If a licence needs reissuing for any ordinary reason, support handles it for you, at no charge. If you need more than one — for a second trader, or a team — ask us and we will tell you the current terms.

Prop and funded accounts

Can these tools help me pass a prop evaluation?

We don’t promise passes, and anyone who does is selling you something.

What the tools give you is better information going into the decision: where price sits in the session, who is active at a level, and whether a move is being accepted or just probed. In an evaluation the drawdown is tight and consistency counts for more than one big idea — which is exactly where reading faster is worth something.

The rules you trade under are still your firm’s, and the tools have no knowledge of them.

I use a prop firm account. Does that change anything?

Not for the software, but the rules you trade under are your own. Drawdown limits, consistency requirements and permitted hours belong to your firm’s programme. Our tools have no knowledge of those rules and do not enforce them.

Support

Something is broken. What do you need from me?

Email support@makedgelab.com with your NinjaTrader version, the instrument and timeframe, what you were doing when it happened, and the steps to reproduce it. Reproducing it is most of the work.

Attach a capture of the chart — the error message, the panel, or just what the screen looked like. One image usually says more than a paragraph describing it. Send it to that same address: the contact form does not take attachments.

The same address covers setup questions.

Is there documentation?

Yes — the documentation covers what each reference is and why it is computed the way it is, not just which checkbox turns it on. A tool you can’t explain is one you can’t take responsibility for.

Do you offer trading advice or coaching?

No. We build software. We are not financial advisers, we do not manage money, and nothing we publish is a personal recommendation — see the risk disclosure.

Questions about how a tool computes something are support and always welcome. Questions about what you should do in a position are not something we can answer.
