Risk Disclosure

MAK EDGE LAB · Effective date: 6 September 2026

1. Why this page exists

MAK EDGE LAB builds market-structure tools for NinjaTrader 8. Those tools are used by people who trade futures, and futures trading can cost you money — in some circumstances, more money than you deposited. This page states the risks plainly and sets out what our software does and does not do.

Read it before you rely on anything published on this site. If any part of it is unclear, do not proceed until you have taken independent advice.

2. Nothing we publish is financial advice

Our tools, charts, documentation, educational material and any commentary on this site are general information only. They are not investment advice, not a personal recommendation, not research, not an offer or invitation to deal, and not a solicitation to buy or sell any instrument.

We do not know your financial position, your objectives, your tax situation or your risk tolerance, and nothing we publish is adjusted to them. Any decision you make after reading or using our material is your own decision.

We are not a broker, an investment adviser, a fund manager or a trading venue. We do not manage money, execute orders, hold client assets or provide custody.

MAK EDGE LAB holds no financial-services authorisation in any jurisdiction. We are not registered with, licensed by or supervised by any financial regulator, and we do not provide any service that requires such an authorisation. We sell software. Nothing on this site comes to you from a regulated firm, and you should not treat it as though it did.

If you need advice on whether an instrument or a strategy is suitable for you, that has to come from someone authorised to give it in your country. We are not that person, and no amount of correspondence with us makes us that person.

3. Trading futures involves a substantial risk of loss

Futures are leveraged, volatile instruments. Prices can move sharply, in either direction, in very short periods, including outside the hours you are watching. Losses can accumulate faster than you can react.

You should not trade futures with money you cannot afford to lose entirely. Futures are not suitable for every investor, and for many people they are not suitable at all.

4. Leverage works in both directions

Leverage means a small movement in the underlying market produces a much larger movement in your account. It magnifies gains and losses equally. Margin requirements can change without notice, and a position can be liquidated by your broker — at a loss — without your consent.

Depending on your broker, your account type and the applicable rules, losses may exceed the amount you deposited and you may owe additional funds.

5. What our tools do, and what they do not

Our tools organise information that is already on your screen. They maintain reference levels, keep them correct as sessions roll over, and show what is relevant to where price is now. That is the whole of it.

Specifically, and by deliberate design:

  • They do not generate entry or exit signals. They will not tell you when to buy or sell.
  • They do not state probabilities or confidence levels about what a market will do next.
  • They do not place orders. There is no auto-trading, and no connection to order routing.
  • They do not predict prices. No software can.

A tool that helps you read the market faster does not make you right about the market. Reducing the effort of a decision is not the same as improving the decision, and neither removes the risk of loss.

6. Software, data and platform limitations

Our tools run inside NinjaTrader 8 and depend on data and infrastructure we do not control. They can be affected by delayed, incomplete, revised or incorrect market data; feed outages and gaps; platform, operating-system or hardware failures; connectivity loss; and errors or defects in our own software.

Calculated levels depend on the data received. If the data is wrong, the levels drawn from it will be wrong. Values shown during a session may be revised as more data arrives, and figures seen on historical or replayed data will not always match what was shown live.

We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. Do not use any single tool as your only check before acting. Verify anything that matters against your platform and your broker.

7. Past, simulated and hypothetical results

Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Results obtained in simulation, backtesting, market replay or a demo account have inherent limitations and do not represent live trading. Simulated trading does not involve real financial risk, and no simulated record can fully account for the effect of that risk on decision-making. Simulated results are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight and cannot account for slippage, fills, liquidity, latency, fees or the discipline required to follow a method in real time.

No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve any particular result. Differences between simulated and actual results can be material.

8. Funded and proprietary-firm accounts

If you trade a funded, evaluation or proprietary-firm account, additional rules apply that have nothing to do with us: daily and overall drawdown limits, consistency requirements, permitted instruments and hours, and the firm's own grounds for terminating your account.

Our tools have no knowledge of those rules and do not enforce them. Compliance with your firm's programme is entirely your responsibility, and using our software does not make an account more likely to pass an evaluation or remain funded.

9. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your own trading. That includes your decisions to enter and exit, position sizing, leverage, stop placement, risk management, the suitability of any instrument for you, your compliance with applicable law, and your tax obligations.

You are responsible for satisfying yourself that any tool behaves as you expect before you rely on it, including testing it on your own platform and data.

10. Limits of our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MAK EDGE LAB is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, loss of data or interruption arising from use of, or reliance on, our software or published material.

Nothing in this disclosure excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or your mandatory rights as a consumer. This page is read together with the Terms of Use.

11. Jurisdiction

Our material is not directed at any person in a jurisdiction where publishing or making it available would be contrary to local law, or would require an authorisation we do not hold. It is your responsibility to know whether you may lawfully access and use it where you are.

The governing law is Spanish law, subject to mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country.
